Quality Control Methods

Clearview Training Services Ltd delivers high quality training, using the most appropriate teaching method for the students and the subject. To ensure that quality is always measured we ensure that experienced and qualified trainers with a proven record of training and sector experience deliver the training.

We also use the following quality control methods as appropriate:

Named contact - a member of the management team will be allocated as the contact for any contract.  They will liaise with any Early Education and Childcare Unit to ensure that all details of the agreed contract are met. Any queries about any aspect of the contract can be directed to the nominated person.

Reporting - Clearview Training Services Ltd will complete returns as requested by the Early Education and Childcare Unit by keeping a database of candidates, enrolment date, start date, completion date and track any submitted assignments and grades. Student and trainers evaluation forms for each course can be returned to the childcare unit if requested.

Candidate feedback - candidates are requested to take part in evaluating the training they are receiving – this may be part way through a course (if the course is of long duration) or at the end of the course. Candidates who do not complete training will also be invited to attend an exit interview. All forms are reviewed by the management team and any concerns are followed up.

Trainer Feedback - at the end of each course a trainer will be requested to complete a summary form commenting on all aspects of the training. This is returned for review by the management team. Any concerns raised are investigated and trainers supported as appropriate.

Trainer Observations – as part of quality control, training is observed on a planned and unannounced basis. A senior member undertakes observations and will complete a report which is discussed with the trainer and forms part of the trainer's CPD log. Any actions required are noted and agreed with a target date for completion set.

Assessment Centre Criteria – to maintain our ability to offer qualifications we ensure that we have the policies and quality control measures in place as specified by the awarding body. We participate in external verification visits and ensure that any actions are discussed with the team and implemented. Policies include:

  •  Internal assessors sampling plan and strategy
  •  Internal Assessment policy
  •  Complaints policy
  •  Appeals Procedure

We also take part in any requests for standard moderation.

Awarding Body Training - Clearview Training Services ensures that they work in partnership with awarding bodies and sends staff on appropriate training delivered by the awarding body. The assessment centre also receives regular bulletins. Any information received is reviewed and any actions are planned and undertaken.

Co-training – when a new member of staff joins the team or is newly qualified they will be invited to co-train with an experienced member of staff. The training experience is discussed and the management team decide whether the trainer is competent and effective to deliver training independently.

Insititute for Learning – all trainers are requested to enrol with the IFL and participate in training, as appropriate, as part of their own contiuous professional development.

Skills Active Code of Conduct - trainers involved in delivering playwork traning will be requested to sign up to the Skills Active Code of Conduct and become a Skills Active approved trainer.

Booking – Students will be able to book onto a course via a web based system, a booking form which can be posted or by telephone. Written confirmation will be sent to the student 10 days before a course commences. A link will be placed on the Clearview Training Services Ltd website directing students to their local authorities web booking system, where appropriate.
